A Gift of Hope and Progress: Camarines Norte Unites for the President’s Empowering Service Initiative

In a powerful show of unity, compassion, and progress, Camarines Norte proudly joined the nationwide rollout of “Handog ng Pangulo, Serbisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat” on September 13, 2024, reinforcing the Marcos administration’s commitment to inclusive development and sustainable livelihoods.

Held at the Agro Sports Center in Daet, the event was a convergence of government agencies, local leaders, and community members with a singular goal: to deliver comprehensive assistance to farmers, fisherfolk, and vulnerable sectors across the province.

Through the coordination of the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAg) with the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the National Irrigation Administration (NIA), the event distributed critical support packages designed to empower local producers and promote food security.

Key Program Highlights:
  • KADIWA ng Pangulo: A flagship initiative under the Department of Agriculture, the KADIWA program brought fresh, affordable agricultural and fishery products directly to the people. Twenty-two (22) organizations of farmers and fisherfolk, including DOLE-TUPAD beneficiaries, participated in the event. The NIA also offered milled rice at just P29.00 per kilo, benefiting senior citizens, solo parents, 4Ps beneficiaries, Indigenous Peoples (IPs), and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
  • Agricultural Inputs Distribution: To strengthen food production at the grassroots level, the DA distributed a wide range of inputs, including:
  1.   300 bags of hybrid seeds
  2.   1,815 pieces of soil ameliorants
  3.   1,740 packs of organic fertilizers
  4.   24 sets of garden tools
  5.   2 knapsack sprayers
  6.   1,000 packs of assorted vegetable seeds
Governor Ricarte “Dong” R. Padilla expressed deep gratitude to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. for prioritizing the welfare of Camarines Norteños. As the President also celebrated his 63rd birthday, Governor Padilla emphasized that the true path to development lies in unity and cooperation across all sectors.

“Ang pag-unlad ay naka-depende sa pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan ng bawat isa,” he said.
Beyond the material assistance, the program served as a platform for further empowerment through:

  • A job fair connecting job seekers to local and national employment opportunities
  • DTI service desks for MSMEs
  • TESDA scholarship grants aimed at equipping individuals with life-changing vocational skills
The event reflected more than just the distribution of goods—it was a celebration of solidarity and hope. Camarines Norte stands as a testament that when government and people work hand in hand, no challenge is too great, and no dream is too distant.

Together, we rise—because true progress begins when no one is left behind.
